Driedger, 27, has put up impressive numbers the past two seasons, posting a .938 save percentage in 2019-20 (12 GP), and a .927 save percentage in 2020-21 (23 GP).

Because Sergei Bobrovsky’s contract has a full no-movement clause, the Panthers are forced to use their one goalie protection slot on him, leaving Driedger exposed.

Driedger struggled in the playoffs this past season, posting an .871 save percentage in his three starts.
