There are “rumblings” that the Chicago Blackhawks are working on a potential Duncan Keith trade to either the Pacific Northwest or a Western Canadian team, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Keith, 37, recorded four goals and 11 assists through 54 games this past season with Chicago.
A native of Winnipeg Manitoba, Keith played junior hockey with the Penticton Panthers of the British Columbia Hockey League before making a brief stop in Kelowna to play with the Rockets of the Western Hockey League.
Keith has two years remaining on his contract, which carries an annual average value of $5.538 million.
