We now know the games that will be heading overseas next season.

On Tuesday, the National Hockey League revealed the four teams heading to Europe to participate in the 2024 NHL Global Series. The Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils will open the 2024-25 campaign in Prague, Czechia, while the Dallas Stars and Florida Panthers will meet twice in Tampere, Finland, in November.

The Sabres and Devils will play twice at O2 Arena in Prague, playing on Friday Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5. Buffalo will also finish their training camp in Germany, playing an exhibition game against Red Bull Munich at the team’s new home, SAP Garden, on Friday, Sept. 27.

The Stars and Panthers will play in Tampere on Friday, Nov. 1, and Saturday, Nov. 2, at Nokia Arena.

This will be the first time since 2022 the NHL will hold regular season games in the two countries. That year, the San Jose Sharks and Nashville Predators met up in Prague, while the Colorado Avalanche faced off with the Columbus Blue Jackets in Tampere.

Prague has hosted many NHL events over the years, and next October will mark the eighth and ninth regular-season games in league history to take place in Czechia’s capital.

The league has also visited Finland many times, mainly going to Helsinki before making its debut in Tampere two years ago.

This will be the first time the Dallas Stars have played in Europe. The old Minnesota North Stars played in exhibition series in Stockholm in 1980 and the former Soviet Union in 1990.

The Panthers first played in Finland to kickoff the 2009-10 season, also playing the Winnipeg Jets in Helsinki in 2018.

The only regular-season affair in Europe that the Devils have played occurred when they played the Edmonton Oilers in Gothenburg almost six years ago.

Buffalo began the 2016-17 season by playing the Anaheim Ducks in Finland before meeting with the Los Angeles Kings in the first regular season game to take place in Germany.
