The Seattle Kraken has claimed the star of the Sunday waiver wire: Alex Barre-Boulet.

Despite having only 15 NHL games under his best, Barre-Boulet, 24, is still highly touted around the league. He’s scored just three goals in those games, but after being signed as an undrafted free agent, he’s been an American Hockey League stud.

In 144 games with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch, he’s scored 69 goals and 136 points. Now, he’ll get his chance to break into a full-time role with the Kraken.

According to our own Frank Seravalli, three other players were claimed on waivers from Sunday: Patrick Brown (PHI), Adam Brooks (MTL) and Axel Jonsson-Fjallby.

The New York Islanders also placed Michael Dal Colle on waivers Monday, Seravalli reports.
