The Seattle Kraken will reportedly select Colin Blackwell from the New York Rangers.
According to Rick Carpiniello of The Athletic, the Kraken have zeroed in on Blackwell, but the pick could be subject to change.
Blackwell, 28, proved to be a bargain bin steal for the Rangers last season as Blackwell carries just a $725,000 cap hit with one year left on his two-year deal.
He scored 12 goals and tallied ten assists in 47 games played this season, and posted solid underlying numbers as well.
Colin Blackwell, reportedly selected by SEA (for now), is a good two-way middle six forward who shot a very sustainable 18.8% this season. #SeaKraken
The Expansion Draft goes down at 8 PM EST tonight.
