Short Shifts
Notable lineup changes from around the NHL:
Chicago will be without Kris Versteeg and Niklas Hjalmarsson for tonight’s game with the Stars because of flu-like symptoms. Hawks Lines
Chris Clark and Milan Jurcina are expected to make their Columbus debuts tonight. Mike Commodore will likely be scratched, though not sure who Clark will replace. Jackets Lines
Erik Johnson will be a healthy scratch and be replaced by Daryll Sydor. Blues Lines
For Dallas Stephan Robidas and James Neal both appeared questionable but look set to suit up. Robidas had surgery on Monday but says he’s ready to play tonight. After a combined -10 for the top line last game, James Neal will be dropped to the second line joining Steve Ott and Mike Ribeiro. Jere Lehtinen will be back and be playing alongside Brad Richards and Loui Eriksson. Stars Lines
Derek Roy and Patrick Kaleta are still both day-to-day. Roy looks closer to returning but both missed practice yesterday and are unlikely to play against Pittsburgh. Sabres Lines
Mark Eaton will return for the Penguins, playing for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury in Buffalo. Martin Skoula will likely be the scratch as the Eaton-Letang pairing should be re-united. Tyler Kennedy will also be back for the Pens after being a healthy scratch on Sunday, as Pittsburgh shuffled lines again. Mike Rupp will play alongisde Evgeni Malkin and Bill Guerin and it looks like Ruslan Fedotenko or Eric Godard will be the healthy scratch. Pens Lines
Ducks forward Kyle Calder has been put on waivers after an unproductive stretch on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. Anaheim recalled right-wing Troy Bodie from the Toronto Marlies. It is unclear who will replace Calder on the top line with Joffrey Lupul and Teemu Selanne still out for some time. Ducks Lines
Finally if you hadn’t heard already, Semyon Varlamov has been sent down to Hershey for a conditioning stint as he recovers from injury. Caps Lines
