The St. Louis Blues will be without forward Alexey Toropchenko for the foreseeable future.

The team announced Monday that Toropchenko will be out week to week after he sustained “scalding burns to his legs” in a home accident.

The Blues also announced that forward Jimmy Snuggerud suffered a wrist injury that will require surgery. He has been placed on injured reserve and will be out at least six weeks. St. Louis also called up forward Aleksanteri Kaskimaki from their AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Toropchenko last played last Saturday against the Utah Mammoth, when he was ejected after a knee-on-knee collision with Mammoth forward Logan Cooley.

The incident occurred in the third period after Cooley dumped the puck into the Blues’ zone, with Toropchenko attempting to finish his check but making knee-on-knee contact with the Mammoth forward.

No penalty was called on the play, but after the officials gathered and reviewed the hit, Toropchenko was given a five-minute major for kneeing and a game misconduct.

Toropchenko, taken in the fourth round by the Blues in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, has one goal and one assist for two points and 15 penalty minutes in 17 games in 2025-26. Now in his fifth NHL season, the Russian winger has 31 goals and 31 assists for 62 points in 276 regular-season games.

The Blues are 9-10-7 with 25 points through their first 26 games of the 2025-26 regular season. They are seventh in the Central Division.

St. Louis will host the Anaheim Ducks on Monday night, then head east to face the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators
