Dube, 27, spent the 2025-26 season with the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds, collecting 20 goals and 37 points in 46 games. The 5’11” center added five goals and eight points in 12 playoff contests with the club.
A product of Golden, B.C., Dube previously played for the Calgary Flames. His tenure with the club ended in January 2024, when he and four other players were charged with sexual assault in connection with a scandal involving members of the 2018 Canadian World Junior team, which he captained. The players were acquitted of the charges in July 2025 and were later cleared to return to the NHL.
The Flames originally selected Dube in the second round (No. 56 overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft. He spent his entire junior career with the Kelowna Rockets, winning a WHL championship in 2015, before turning pro with the Flames organization in 2018.
After splitting his first two professional seasons between Calgary and the AHL’s Stockton Heat, Dube emerged as a full-time NHLer in 2020-21. He set career highs with 18 goals and 45 points in 82 games with the Flames in 2022-23, but his production fell to just seven points (three goals, four assists) in 43 games before he left the team in 2023-24.
While still awaiting the result of his trial, Dube spent the 2024-25 season playing with KHL club Dinamo Minsk. He appeared in 42 games with the team during the regular season, scoring four goals and 11 points; he did not record a point in four playoff games.
In 325 career NHL games over parts of six seasons with the Flames, Dube has collected 57 goals and 127 points. He’s also appeared in 22 career Stanley Cup Playoff games, recording four goals and six points.
