St. Louis Blues netminder Jordan Binnington will see his second-straight start for Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off on Saturday when the Great White North faces off against the rival United States.

Facing Sweden on Wednesday, Binnington turned aside 23 shots en route to a 4-3 overtime victory. In all, the 4 Nations Face-Off marks the third time that Binnington has represented Canada in international competition. Most recently, Binnington held the top job duties with Canada at the 2024 IIHF World Championship where through eight appearances he found the win column six times coupled with an .885 save percentage and 2.81 goals-against average en route to a fourth-place finish.

The 31-year-old native of Richmond Hill, Ont., also represented Canada at the 2013 World Juniors where in two outings he posted an .871 save percentage and 6.82 goals-against average.

Now in his eighth season with the Blues, through 39 showings in 2024-25, Binnington has notched a 15-19-4 record with an .897 save percentage, 2.89 goals-against average, and three shutouts. Originally chosen by St. Louis in the third round of the 2011 NHL Draft, Binnington holds a 160-113-35 career record with a .906 save percentage, 2.80 goals-against average, and 18 shutouts.

In his first full-time season in 2018-19, Binnington shined with a 24-5-1 record alongside a .927 save percentage, 1.89 goals-against average, and five shutouts before leading the Blues to the franchise’s first Stanley Cup win.

A graduate of the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack, Binnington’s time in the junior circuit was highlighted by the 2012-13 campaign in which he was recognized as the OHL’s Goaltender of the Year after winning 32 of 50 contests where he combined for a .932 save percentage, 2.17 goals-against average, and seven shutouts.

Beyond Binnington, Canada’s roster at the 4 Nations Face-Off also includes fellow goaltenders Adin Hill of the Vegas Golden Knights as well as Sam Montembeault of the Montreal Canadiens.
