The St. Louis Blues have locked up the last unsigned player from their 2022 draft class.

On Wednesday, the team announced that they have signed defenseman Arseni Koromyslov to a two-year, entry-level contract.

The deal will kick in beginning next season.

Koromyslov, 22, was St. Louis’ fourth-round pick from the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. Playing for Chelyabinsk Traktor of the KHL this season, he had a goal and 16 assists for 17 points in 61 games. He also contributed an assist in five postseason games.

Last season, the Moskva, Russia native split his time in the KHL between Tolyatti Lada, St. Peterburg SKA, and Chelyabinsk Traktor. Overall, he put up three goals and 10 assists for 13 points in 60 games.

According to Chelyabinsk Traktor’s team site, Koromyslov stands at just over 6’2″ and weighs 185 pounds. He is a rangy, left-shot defenseman noted for his mobility.

In the 2022-23 season, immediately after getting drafted, Koromyslov played seven games for St. Petersburg SKA Jr. of the MHL (Russia’s top junior league), where he registered a goal and four assists for five points. He then got called up to St. Peterburg SKA for his KHL debut, where he managed just two assists over 29 games. He also had an assist in one game played with Neva SKA of the VHL (the KHL’s farm league).

In the 2023-24 season, he spent the majority of his time with Neva SKA, notching two goals and nine assists for 11 points in 32 games. He also had 16 points in 18 games for St. Petersburg SKA Jr., and no points in just one game for St. Petersburg SKA.

The Blues, who have been mathematically eliminated from the playoff contention, will visit the Utah Mammoth on Thursday for their final game of the regular season.
