We’re just over a month into the NHL season but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to talk about award predictions.

On Tuesday’s episode of The Daily Faceoff Show, Mike McKenna talked about which goalies would be the best bet to win the Vezina Trophy…

Seravalli: “Mike, when you take a look at the odds from PointsBet, who grabs your attention in terms of making a play for the Vezina Trophy?

McKenna: “I think you have to look towards Jacob Markstrom sitting at +1100. Also, Sergei Bobrovsky at +1000. I don’t see Andrei Vasilevskiy winning the Vezina this year, so I wouldn’t take that play at all.

Jack Campbell, I don’t know why, he’s got great numbers but he isn’t getting respect around the league for his play. I’m not sure he’s going to have the clout to win the Vezina. I think that Markstrom and Bobrovsky are the two that I would look to bet on.

It’s interesting to see. I expect Florida and Bobrovsky to come back down a little bit. Bobrovsky has been really good, he’s already won two Vezinas, he’s got a little bit of clout and that always factors in.”
