The DFO Prospect Show – Ep. 3: Evan Nause

Episode three of the Daily Faceoff Prospect Show with Liam Horrobin features Quebec Remparts defenceman Evan Nause.

Nause is the #22 North American ranked skater for the upcoming NHL Draft. He had a great season in his first season with Quebec, after switching over from the USHL, scoring four goals and 22 points in 32 games.

In the USHL, he spent his first season of junior hockey with the Sioux Falls Stampede. Much like his first year in Quebec, Nause had a good season and was named to the USHL All-Rookie Team.

During the interview, Nause explained why he made that switch from the USHL to the QMJHL. He also spoke about the difference between the two leagues and how the Remparts coach may have had a slight influence on his decision.

Nause has represented Team Canada at the U17 World Championships. He played with the Maple Leaf on his chest and also the C after he was named captain for the tournament. Another cool moment in the tournament for him was playing with his hometown from Peter Reynolds, who’ll also be joining Liam Horrobin on the show in the next couple of weeks.

All of that plus more on episode three of the Daily Faceoff Prospect Show. You can also watch episode one with Edmonton Oil Kings Goaltender Sebastian Cossa and episode two with Brooks Bandits defenceman Corson Ceulemans on our Youtube channel.
