The DFO Prospect Show – Ep. 8: Jack Bar

Jack Bar is Newmarket, Ontario, native who played his junior hockey with the Chicago Steel in the USHL last season. Bar had a fantastic season with Chicago scoring five goals and 15 points in 34 games while on route to a Clark Cup Championship.
The original idea wasn’t to play for Chicago at all. What was supposed to happen was Bar would attend Harvard University for his freshman year. Of course, like most things the past year, that move was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even before joining the Steel, he made a brief stop in the BCHL to play for the Penticton Vees. Bar dressed in a few preseason games for them; however, with their season so up in the air he opted to join Chicago.
Bar goes into more detail on that rollercoaster on the show. He explains how it all occurred and the disappointment of not playing a meaningful game for the Vees.
Also, on the show, Liam and Bar dive into his commitment to Harvard University, why he chose the NCAA route over the CHL, and also the relationships he built while with the Steel.
You can check all of that out right now on episode eight of The Daily Faceoff Prospect Show…
