The DFO Prospect Show – Ep. 9: Peter Reynolds

Peter Reynolds from the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL joined Liam Horrobin for episode nine of The Daily Faceoff Prospect Show.
Reynolds is a well-travelled player going from Minnesota to Chilliwack and now to Saint John, which is much closer to his hometown of Fredericton, New Brunswick. The distance between Saint John and his hometown played a significant role in his decision to move back. He was initially drafted 21st overall by the Sea Dogs but opted to go the NCAA route. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic going on, Reynolds decided to change paths.
He’s currently ranked as the 80th skater amongst North Americans by NHL central scouting. Reynolds is a very disciplined player receiving only two penalty minutes in 33 games last season. He’s also got plenty of offensive flair to his game scoring 15 goals and 31 points in his first season with the Sea Dogs.
Also, in the interview, the two of them discussed Reynolds experience with Team Canada at the U17’s, how having three coaches in three years has helped his development and his excitement for the 2021 NHL Draft.
