The Glorious Sons, TALK and more highlight 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend entertainment

The NHL announced on Thursday that multi-platinum, award-winning rock bank The Glorious Sons and viral multi-instrumentalist TALK will headline the performances during the NHL All-Star Skills event on Friday, Feb. 2 at Scotiabank Arena.

The league also announced that Canadian singer Chxrry22 and singer-songwriter Dinah Jane of the group Fifth harmony will perform the Canadian and U.S. national anthems, respectively, to open the All-Star Skills event.

The league is introducting a revamped format where 12 NHL All-Stars competing for points in eight events. The All-Star who finishes with the most points takes home a prize of $1 million.

The Glorious Sons are based out of Kingston, Ont., and have released their latest album “Glory.” The band has won two Juno Awards and are a six-time Canadian certified Gold rock group. With multiple chart-topping hits, the band has gone from headlining clubs to arenas and festival dates.

Canadian rocker TALK released their debut album “Lord of the Flies & Birds & Bees” last October, featuring the Platinum single “Run Away to Mars” and the viral hit “A Little Bit Happy.” While he continues to be a huge sensation on TikTok, he’s proving to be quite the onstage powerhouse, completing tours with Young The Giant, Milky Chance and performing at Lollapalooza this past summer.

Born and raised in Toronto, Chxrry22’s viral online videos landed her a deal with XO Records, the label headed by The Weeknd, and her blend of pop and R&B makes her the genre’s next it-girl.

Dinah Jane is a singer-songwriter and member of the group Fifth Harmony. After taking a break from music, she has a fully produced album ready to be released and a forth coming solo project that fuses Polynesian culture, island reggae and other influences that forge a new sound in R&B.

All-Star Weekend takes place between Feb. 1 and 3.
