Maroon has turned into somewhat of a good luck charm as he’s been on the Stanley Cup-winning team in each of the past three seasons. He won in 2019 as a member of his hometown St. Louis Blues and he was a part of the Lightning’s back-to-back Cup teams in 2020 and 2021.
The Lightning signed Maroon to a one-year deal worth $900k back in August of 2019 and gave him another two-year contract after the 2019-20 season. All told, Maroon has scored 20 goals and 54 points for the Lightning over 164 games, as well as 10 points over 48 playoff games.
Maroon turns 34 years old in April and would have been an unrestricted free agent this summer.
