Adam Brooks is a Maple Leaf yet again.

According to James Mirtle of The Athletic, Toronto claimed Brooks off of waivers from the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday.

Brooks was a fourth-round pick of the Maple Leafs back in the 2016 draft. He was a member of the Toronto Marlies Calder Cup Championship team in 2017-18 and made his NHL debut with the Maple Leafs in 2019-20.

All told, Brooks played 18 games with the Leafs between the 2019-20 and 2021 seasons, scoring four goals and four points.

Brooks didn’t crack the Leafs out of camp ahead of the 2021-22 season and was placed on waivers, where he would wind up getting claimed by the Montreal Canadiens. Brooks played in four games for the Habs before again getting placed on waivers. He was claimed by the Golden Knights, where he would score two goals over seven games.

The 25-year-old is in the second year of a two-year contract that’s worth $725k annually.
