The Suitcase and The Scribe: Bonus Episode to Recap All-Star Weekend (featuring Tyler Yaremchuk)

The NHL All-Star weekend is winding down, so Mike and Scott decided to record a quick episode of the podcast to recap the festivities. Joined by Tyler Yaremchuk in his room at the hotel, the guys cracked a few beverages, sat back, enjoyed a fantastic view of the AC units outside of Yaremchuk’s window, and talked a little hockey.
The podcast got started by hitting on the Metropolitan Division landing the win at the All-Star Game and how Claude Giroux was named the MVP of the day. He’s a player who could be traded soon so the guys spent some time speculation on what’s to come. From there, McKenna and Burnside offered up some ideas on what they would like to see done differently at next year’s event, what their favorite moments were from this past weekend, and what else the league could do to continue elevating the way this event works.
On top of that, they also got to their favorite moments from the day including a play that had Mike cheering in the stands. They also went back and talked about the skills competition and how Trevor Zegras absolutely stole the show with his puck skills and creativity. To close, they gave their parting thoughts on the weekend and what they took away from the 2022 All-Star weekend in Las Vegas.
