The Suitcase and The Scribe – Ep. 26: Perspectives of the Trade Deadline with Colby Armstrong, Jay Feaster and Brandon Walker

Scott Burnside went solo for today’s The Suitcase and the Scribe special!
On today’s show, Scott is joined by former NHLer Colby Armstrong, the 2004 Stanley Cup winning General Manager Jay Feaster, and the Director of Team Services & Player Relations for the Nashville Predators, Brandon Walker.
Each guest gives a different perspective on the trade deadline and the experiences they have gone through.
Colby Armstrong spoke about when he was traded from the Pittsburgh Penguins to the Atlanta Thrashers for Marian Hossa. He also talked about the lead-up to the trade and how unexpected it was.
Jay Feaster gave the perspective of a General Manager. He spoke about his time with the Tampa Bay Lightning and the 2004 Stanley Cup-winning season. Feaster mentions the job the current Lightning General Manager is doing, Julien Brisebois, is doing too.
Finally, Brandon Walker is last in the queue. He and Scott talked about how it goes behind the scenes with equipment, getting the players to the rink, and helping players out with their families.
