The Western Conference playoff race could get spicy heading into NHL Trade Deadline

We are just four days away from the NHL Trade Deadline, and things are heating up as teams are starting to decide whether they are buyers or sellers.
In the Western Conference, there are teams near the top of the Pacific and Central Divisions jockeying for home-ice advantage, with the Winnipeg Jets, Dallas Stars, and Colorado Avalanche all fighting for first in the Central.
While the Los Angeles Kings and Nashville Predators are holding the two Wild Card spots, four teams are within 10 points of them, with some looking at over 20 games to go in the regular season.
All this to say, this makes things interesting out west heading into the deadline.
A few notable players rumored to be on the move include the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Jake Guentzel, Tyler Toffoli of the New Jersey Devils, and the Anaheim Ducks’ Adam Henrique. All three of them have the ability to take a team and better their chances of making a deep run this spring.
The question will be, what lengths will the big teams like the Avalanche, Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers go to make deals happen? The Oilers and Golden Knights are currently sitting second and third in the Pacific, both trying to chase down the Vancouver Canucks for the top spot in the division.
On Monday’s edition of Daily Faceoff LIVE, Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk discuss what could happen between now and Friday.
Frank Seravalli: The Avs, Golden Knights and Oilers…I will be floored if I wake up Saturday morning and none of those teams made big splashes.
Tyler Yaremchuk: Is there a chance that we maybe see all three of the big forward names, Guentzel, Toffoli, Henrique, are they all just gonna end up with those three teams in the West?
Frank: They certainly could, for sure.
