One of the last of the bigger names in free agency, Tomas Tatar has inked a two-year deal with the New Jersey Devils.

First reported by PuckPedia, the deal will pay him an AAV of $4.5-million.

The 30-year-old has spent the last three seasons with the Montreal Canadiens here he’s scored 149 points in 198 games. He had a bit of a down year this season, scoring 30 points in 50 games and he found himself playing in just five playoff games in the Habs’ historic run for the cup.

For the Devils, it continues one of the best offseasons of any team. They signed the top free agent in Dougie Hamilton and a strong goaltender in Jonathan Bernier. The Devils also acquired Ryan Graves from the Avalanche.
