The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired goaltender David Rittich from the Calgary Flames in exchange for a 2022 third-round pick.

Rittich, 28, joins the Leafs after spending the last four seasons with Calgary. He’s appeared in 130 games over that time posting a 63-39-15 record and a .908 save percentage.

This year, he’s appeared in 15 games posting a 4-7-1 record and a .904 save percentage in front of the slumping Flames.

As part of the deal, the Flames will be retaining 50% of Rittich’s $2.75-million cap hit. He joined the Flames as a free agent in June 2016.
