Leafs sign Jack Roslovic to two-year contract

The Toronto Maple Leafs signed Jack Roslovic to a two-year, $8-million contract that will pay him an annual salary of $4 million, according to multiple reports.

Roslovic spent last season with the Edmonton Oilers, where he scored 21 goals and added 15 assists for 36 points in 69 regular-season games. He recorded one assist in the playoffs.

He was ranked No. 20 on Matt Larkin’s top 50 NHL unrestricted free agents of 2026.

The Columbus native signed a one-year deal worth $1.5 million with the Oilers after the 2025-26 season had already begun. He had gone into the offseason as a top free agent, but was unable to sign a long-term deal with any clubs.

In 10 NHL seasons, Roslovic has 123 goals and 173 assists for 296 points in 595 career regular-season games with the Oilers, Carolina Hurricanes, New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets and Winnipeg Jets.

The 29-year-old forward has reached the 20-goal mark three times in his career and has hit the 40-point mark twice.

Roslovic, a first-round pick for the Jets in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, spent parts of two seasons in the AHL, where he recorded 28 goals and 55 assists for 83 points in 97 career games.

In one college season with Miami University of Ohio, Roslovic scored 10 goals and added 16 assists for 26 points in 36 NCAA games.

Roslovic was also a member of the U.S. National Under-18 Team in 2014-15, where he was a linemate with present-day Leafs’ captain Auston Matthews. That season, Roslovic had 27 goals and 52 assists for 79 points in 65 games, having a big hand in setting up Matthews’ 55 goals that year.
