A couple of players look to be heading to the minors.

On Sunday, the Minnesota Wild placed forward Tyler Pitlick on waivers, as did the Philadelphia Flyers with defenseman Adam Ginning, making them available to the rest of the NHL.

Pitlick has had a couple of stints with the Wild this season, having been called up from the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Iowa Wild, twice. The 34-year-old has appeared in 15 games with Minnesota thus far, including being in the lineup for the team’s shootout loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night. He has yet to register a point, but has a plus/minus of -2 while averaging 7:29 of ice time per game.

Pitlick has played five times with Iowa this year, scoring three goals and an assist for four points.

The Minneapolis, Minn. native came home to join the Wild organization this past summer, signing a two-year, two-way contract. In 435 NHL regular-season games, he has scored 56 goals and 53 assists for 109 points. He also has 142 points in 282 AHL contests.

Ginning has gone up and down between the Flyers and their primary affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He was just sent down to the AHL on Nov. 18 before being called up again not long ago. The Swedish blueliner has played in five games with Philadelphia, just a few short of his career-high that he hit during the 2023-24 season. He has gone pointless thus far with an even rating, averaging 15:20 of ice time per game.

In five games with the Phantoms, the 25-year-old has one assist. In 16 career NHL games, he has posted one goal, also totaling 52 points in 200 AHL appearances.
