USA Names Hlinka Gretzky Cup Roster

USA Hockey has announced its roster for the upcoming Hlinka Gretzky Cup which is set for Aug. 5-10 in Edmonton, Alberta.
In total, 13 forwards, seven defensemen and three goaltenders were selected.
USA will compete alongside Czechia, Finland, and Germany in Group B at the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Canada, Slovakia, Sweden, and Switzerland will compete in Group A.

Among those named to the roster features 10 players who helped the U.S. to a second-place finish at the 2023 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament in Chomutov, Czechia. Some of those players include Carter Murphy, Travis Hayes, Jesse Orlowsky, Blake Fiddler, Ben Kevan, Nicolas Whitehead and Ryan Cameron.
Augustana University head coach Garrett Raobin was named the head coach of Team USA. His staff includes Ben Gordon from the University of Minnesota, Chad Kolarik from USA Hockey, and Nick Oliver from Wisconsin University.
Rosters for Canada, Chezchia, Finland, Sweden, Slovakia and Switzerland are expected to release in the coming days.
Team USA has finished in the top three of the Hlinka tournament 14 times since the tournament began in 1991. The U.S. won the tournament in 2003, and has finished second on nine occasions.
