Mammoth plan to waive Connor Ingram

The Utah Mammoth intend to place goaltender Connor Ingram on waivers, Mammoth general manager Bill Armstrong confirmed Wednesday per Brogan Houston of the Deseret News.
The future transaction comes after Ingram rejoined the Mammoth in late August following a stint in the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program. Ingram originally entered the program in March.
Limited to 22 appearances with Utah in 2024-25, Ingram posted a 9-8-4 record alongside a 3.27 goals-against average and an .882 save percentage. Ingram also saw a lone showing with the AHL affiliated Tucson Roadrunners in which he turned aside 29 of 30 shots en route to a 4-1 victory over the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
Prior to in the inaugural season in Utah, Ingram spent two seasons with the former Arizona Coyotes highlighted by the 2023-24 campaign where through 50 outings he put together a 23-21-5 record coupled with a 2.91 goals-against average and .907 save percentage. Ingram also finished tied for first league-wide with six shutouts.
Ingram originally joined the Coyotes after being claimed off waivers from the Nashville Predators in October 2022.
A 2016 third-round selection by the Tampa Bay Lightning, the 28-year-old native of Saskatoon, Sask., has seen 102 career contests with the Predators, Coyotes, and Utah in which he has recorded a 39-44-15 showing with a 3.14 goals-against average, .902 save percentage, and seven shutouts.
In Ingram’s absence, the Mammoth’s goaltending pipeline is headlined by starter Karel Vejmelka. In 58 games in 2024-25, the 29-year-old Czech-born goaltender went 26-22-8 with a 2.58 goals-against average, .904 save percentage, and one shutout. In July, the Mammoth also signed unrestricted free agent goaltender Vitek Vanecek to a one-year, $1.5-million contract, per PuckPedia. Last season, Vanecek split time between the San Jose Sharks and Florida Panthers where through 25 total appearances he combined for a 5-14-4 record.
