— Cole Bagley (@BagleyKSLsports) November 26, 2025It will be Durzi’s first appearance in 21 games. The 26-year-old suffered an upper-body injury in the team’s second game of the 2025-26 season. Against the Nasvhille Predators, Durzi took a hit in overtime, falling on his right shoulder.
The Mississauga, Ont. native played in each of the team’s first two games of the season, posting a plus/minus of zero while averaging 18:56 of ice time.
Mammoth fans are happy that the severity of Durzi’s most recent ailment isn’t nearly as bad as the injury that he suffered last October. He went down with a shoulder injury that ended up requiring surgery. The former second-round pick missed 52 games before returning to the lineup last February. He was limited to just 30 games, the fewest number of appearances in his young NHL career. Durzi potted just four goals and seven assists for 11 points.
Had injuries not plagued Durzi, he might be higher up on people’s lists as one of the top right-handed rearguards in the NHL. After a pair of promising seasons with the Los Angeles Kings, he was traded to the then-Arizona Coyotes and made an immediate splash, scoring nine goals and 32 assists for 41 points during the 2023-24 campaign. When healthy, Durzi can be a key presence on the blue line for a team hoping to challenge for a playoff spot in the near future.
In 244 NHL contests, Durzi has scored 25 goals and 93 assists for 118 points, with four points coming in 13 postseason games with the Kings.
