Report: Mammoth sign Michael Carcone to one-year deal

The Utah Mammoth have signed forward Michael Carcone to a one-year contract, according to Sportsnet hockey insider Elliotte Friedman.

Terms of the reported contract have not been released. Carcone is coming off a two-year deal that paid him $775,000 per season.
In 2024-25, Carcone scored seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points and 36 penalty minutes, averaging 11:26 of ice time in 53 regular-season games.
The 29-year-old left winger has spent his entire NHL career with the Utah/Arizona Coyotes franchise, scoring 34 goals and 23 assists for 57 points and 87 penalty minutes in 157 career regular-season games. His best statistical season came in 2023-24 with the Coyotes, scoring 21 goals and eight assists for 29 points in 74 games.
Carcone has also played in parts of seven AHL seasons, scoring 123 goals and 144 assists for 267 points in 398 career regular-season games with the Tucson Roadrunners, Belleville Senators, Toronto Marlins and Utica Comets. In 21 Calder Cup Playoff games, he’s scored nine goals and nine assists for 18 points.
In 2021-22, Carcone recorded 24 goals and 17 assists for 41 points and 62 penalty minutes in 48 regular-season games with the Roadrunners.
An undrafted forward, Carcone spent two seasons in the QMJHL with the Drummondville Voltigeurs, scoring 59 goals and recording 71 assists for 130 points in 116 regular-season games. In 2015-16, he recorded 47 goals and 42 assists for 89 points and 80 penalty minutes in 66 regular-season games.
Utah finished the 2024-25 season with a 38-31-13 record and 89 points, finishing sixth in the Central Division and falling seven points shy of the No. 2 Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.
Forward Clayton Keller, who was named Utah’s first-ever captain ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, led the team in all offensive categories, scoring 30 goals and recording 60 assists for 90 points in 81 games.
