The Vancouver Canucks have acquired forward Jason Dickinson from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a third-round pick.

The deal was first reported in full by Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

Dickinson, 26, has spent his full six year career with the Stars scoring 25 goals and 63 points in 221 games. This past year he scored seven goals and 15 points.

This past year, he contributed even-strength offence at a three percent rate below league average and even strength defence at an eight percent rate above league average. At 5×5 with Dickinson on the ice, the Stars controlled 56.23 percent of the shot attempts, 46.51 percent of the goals and 57.44 percent of the expected goals.
