The Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks are the latest teams who will be implementing vaccination policies for fans attending games.

Both organizations are requiring guests, employees, and event staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19. More details are expected to be announced soon.

“The health and safety of our fans, employees, players and community has always been a top priority and we welcome today’s announcement by Premier Horgan, Dr. Bonnie Henry and Minister Dix,” said Michael Doyle, President of the Canucks Sports & Entertainment. “The new program will help us ensure everyone is as safe and comfortable as possible at Rogers Arena and the Abbotsford Centre. We will now work closely with local health authorities to implement an efficient and effective entry process for everyone coming to games, concerts and live events.”

The Flames, meanwhile, will implement their rules as mandatory as of Sept. 15th.

The requirements will be there for those aged 12 and older.

The Edmonton Oilers, meanwhile, are expected to announce similar rules for those attending their games, OilersNation’s Jason Gregor reported. Earlier this month, the Winnipeg Jets and the Toronto Maple Leafs announced they would require fans to be vaccinated.
