Canucks’ Victor Mancini leaves game against Oilers with undisclosed injury

The Vancouver Canucks announced on social media that defenseman Victor Mancini would not return to their Sunday night matchup against the Edmonton Oilers, leaving the game with an undisclosed injury.

Mancini’s last shift came with five minutes to go in the second period, taking a hit from Oilers’ forward Trent Frederic. According to Canucks play-by-play voice Brendan Batchelor, Mancini left the Vancouver bench and went straight to the locker room. He did not return for the third period.

Mancini ended the night with 8:18 of ice time, recording one shot and blocking another.
The Canucks beat the Oilers 4-3 in overtime.
Through five games this season, Mancini has a minus-two rating and is averaging 11:05 of ice time in that span. He recorded his first-career fight against Washington Capitals’ forward Brandon Duhaime during the Oct. 19 game between the two teams.

In 36 career NHL games, Mancini has two goals and six assists for eight points and 15 penalty minutes with the Canucks and New York Rangers. He’s also played in 38 regular-season AHL games across three seasons, scoring four goals and 12 assists for 16 points.
Mancini was part of the Abbotsford Canucks’ 2025 Calder Cup championship run, scoring three goals and five assists for eight points in 24 playoff games.
Mancini, a fifth-round pick for the Rangers in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, played three seasons of NCAA hockey with the University of Nebraska-Omaha, scoring four goals and recording 19 assists for 23 points in 110 career games.
