Vegas Golden Knights sign undrafted free agent Christoffer Sedoff

The Vegas Golden Knights have landed one of the best undrafted free agent prospects, signing defenseman Christoffer Sedoff to a three-year entry-level contract.
Sedoff, 21, is in his third season with the WHL’s Red Deer Rebels. He’s currently leading all Rebels blueliners with 45 points in 53 games, a year after putting up 61 points on the board. Sedoff was named to the WHL’s central first all-star team last season after his huge rise up the scoring charts.
Prior to coming over, Sedoff spent time in his native Finland rising through the ranks. He played nearly a full season with SaiPa in the top Finnish league in 2020-21 after spending much of his youth career in the HIFK system.
It wasn’t until he turned 19 that he really started to find his groove, and now the 6-foot-1 defenseman looks ready to jump back into the pro ranks. Sedoff’s contract will kick in next season, where he’ll likely compete for a spot on the Henderson Silver Knights.
Signing him as an undrafted UFA means, in theory, he’s a little closer to making an impact compared to other defensive prospects in the system based on age and experience. Sedoff moves well, thinks the game at a high speed and the offensive is starting to follow through.
