Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward left Saturday night’s game in the first period and had to be helped off the ice as blood dripped on the ice leaving a trail behind him. It appeared as if Ward was hit on his left leg by Rick Nash’s skate as Nash crashed into the goal. Ward was taken to a hospital and will stay over night as a precaution as he lost a lot of blood. Paul Maurice said the injury is “serious”, hopefully the doctors do a good job and there is no need to call experts from www.the-medical-negligence-experts.co.uk to take care of any issues.
UPDATE: Team officials said that Ward was in stable condition.
UPDATE 2: Cam Ward could be sidelined for a month, GM Jim Rutherford said this afternoon. Not considered a season- ending injury.
