WATCH: Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg scores four goals in two periods

When you’re hot, you’re hot and Tuesday night, Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg was feeling it.
In just the first two periods of their game against the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets, the sniper found the back of the net four, yes four, times.
His first goal came at the 4:56 mark of the first period when he stepped in from the goal line and wires one top shelf. Goal two came not long after at the 12:52 mark when he wired one into the other top corner of the net after being left all alone in the slot.
The hat-trick goal came at the 15:26 mark of the second when he got a back-door feed from Mikael Granlund. His fourth came with 5.9 seconds left in the second when he banged home a loose puck on the doorstep of the Blue Jackets’ net on the powerplay.
It’s only the third time a Nashville Predators player scored four goals in a game. The last to do so was Rocco Grimaldi on March 25th, 2021, and the other was Eric Nystrom on January 24th, 2014.
Forsberg’s linemate Mikael Granlund had the primary assist on all four goals, the second time he’s had as many assists in a game this month.
Will he score more? Well, we’ve still got a period to find out.
