Which teams would be a good fit for Simon Edvinsson?

As the drama in Hockeytown continues, some are starting to wonder where a potential landing spot could be for Simon Edvinsson.
The Detroit Red Wings are still without the big Swedish blueliner. The two sides haven’t agreed on a new contract, and Edvinsson reportedly wants to be traded.
As a result, several teams could benefit from adding the former first-round pick. He has the size, awareness and offensive touch that make him a promising two-way blueliner.
On Tuesday’s edition of Daily Faceoff LIVE, Tyler Yaremchuk and Carter Hutton discuss which teams could benefit from adding Edvinsson.
Carter Hutton: I think about a lot of different teams, but for different reasons, too. I think about the Pacific. If you’re going to get him out of East, you send him to San Jose or Anaheim. Teaams that could use a young piece to fit in to do that mold. Or there’s the other factor, we’ve talked about this a lot, like Columbus, right? You go out and you get Matthew Knies. You have Adam Fantili locked up. Werenski kind of waiting over your head. Is he a piece that come in, him and Danton Heinen, would be a piece that could last forever?
The interesting part for me is like, what does Detroit want to give up for him? Is it the fact that you want to get futures, or do you need some players to come in and help you right away?
Tyler Yaremchuk: You mentioned the Pacific Division. San Jose would be a great fit for him, wouldn’t they? Like, imagine him running a power play with the rest of those kids. If Detroit wanted a good young forward back, San Jose has a lot of those. I know they just drafted Keaton Verhoeff this past year, but like, you look at a forward group that has Celebrini, Smith, Misa, Chernyshov, Stenberg now stepping into the league already looking good. There’s just so many good young forwards there. I really think San Jose could dip into their futures pile a little bit here and make a call for Simon Edvinsson.
