Lowry had hip surgery back in May following Winnipeg’s playoff exit to the hands of the Colorado Avalanche. The St. Louis native was a member of the Jets’ first draft class since relocating from Atlanta back in 2011, and has played 11 seasons with the team. Last year, the former third-round pick notched 16 goals and 18 assists for 34 points in 73 games. With 273 career points, Lowry ranks eighth all-time for the current iteration of the Jets’ franchise.
Barron has played all 12 games for Winnipeg so far, registering three goals and three assists for six points in just over 12 and a half minutes of ice time per game. The Halifax native was a sixth-round draft pick of the New York Rangers in 2017. After playing just 18 total games for the Rangers, he was dealt to the Jets partway through the 2021-22 season in exchange for Andrew Copp. This is Barron’s fourth full season in Winnipeg.
Samberg has yet to play this season as a result of a broken wrist he sustained in the preseason, while Perfetti has yet to play thanks to an ankle injury also sustained in the preseason.
The Jets will play all three California team on their upcoming road trip, along with the Vancouver Canucks, Seattle Kraken, and Calgary Flames.
