Jets sign Isaac Poulter to one-year contract extension

The Winnipeg Jets are keeping around a hometown kid.
On Thursday, the team announced that they have signed goaltender Isaac Poulter to a one-year contract extension.

Poulter, 24, spent the majority of this past season with the Jets’ ECHL affiliate Norfolk Admirals, where he put up a 25-17-1 record with a 2.76 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage in 43 appearances. He also made three appearances for the AHL’s Manitoba Moose this season, in which he went 2-0-0 with a 2.83 GAA and a .885 SV%.
The Winnipeg native went undrafted following his junior career with the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League (WHL). His final Swift Current season of 2021-22 saw him post a 20-23-6 record with a 3.00 GAA and a .911 SV%.
Poulter began his professional career by signing a one-year, two-way contract with the New Jersey Devils‘ AHL affiliate Utica Comets in June of 2022. In the 2022-23 season, he split time between Utica and the Devils’ ECHL affiliate Adirondack Thunder. In 13 appearances for the Comets, he had a 7-3-3 record with a 3.62 GAA and a .883 SV%. In 22 appearances for Adirondack, he went 10-8-2 with a 2.93 GAA and a .910 SV%.
He then spent the next two years playing almost entirely for Utica, making just six regular season appearances for the Thunder in 2023-24. That same season with the Comets, he impressed with a 17-8-1 record to go along with a 2.55 GAA and a .911 SV%. He then made 15 playoff appearances for Adirondack that season, going 7-8 with a 1.86 GAA and a .939 SV%.
In the 2024-24 season Poulter had a slight down year, going 16-13-6 in 36 appearances for Utica while sporting a 2.86 GAA and a .898 SV%.
He then joined the Jets’ organization as an unrestricted free agent in July of 2025, signing a one-year, two-way contract.
