Nik Zherdev Plans on Returning to NHL

Former New York Rangers and Columbus Blue Jackets right winger Nikolai Zherdev wants to return to America.  The article from 4period.ru reports Zherdev will wait until the July 1st free agency market to hit before signing a contract but expects to sign one shortly after.

Regardless of his team’s talent, Zherdev averaged 59 points over his last two campaigns in the NHL.  His raw skill and ability ensure he can produce at the major league level, the question is where.  If he returns, expect the same production which makes him an excellent #2/3 option on the right side.
