Nikolai Khabibulin might have looked like the <a href="https://publish.dailyfaceoff.com/19570/oilers-resign-top-goaltender-on-depth-chart">top goaltender for the Arizona Penal League</a> just a few months ago but he looked sharp in his pre-season debut.
Sidelined most of last season with a back injury, the 37-year-old netminder could reclaim his starting position with the Edmonton Oilers if he manages to avoid serving jail time. &nbsp;Keep an eye on Khabibulin as he has surprised in the past and only allowed two goals last night against a Vancouver Canucks team which played without Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin, Alexandre Burrows and Dan Hamhuis.
He will likely fight against Jeff Deslauriers, Devan Dubnyk and Martin Gerber for playing time.
