UPDATE! November 21st – Fantasy Hockey Goalie Rankings

Hello readers, before I get into my rankings I would like to extend an apology for the technical difficulties we had this afternoon. – Back to the fantasy hockey… That Tuesday was a doozy wasn’t it? Some of the NHL’s top goalies were blindsided by some high-octane offence. Hopefully the NHL’s elite show up tonight and help out our fantasy teams.

* * *

1. Jonathan Bernier (vs. NSH) – Shutout the Preds already this season and although I don’t look into career numbers that often, his 8-1-0 record with a 1.67 GAA and .947 SV% vs. NSH is worth taking note of.

2. Tuukka Rask (vs. STL) – Rask has allowed one or less goals in five of his last six.

3. Corey Crawford (@ WPG) – 2-0 vs. Winnipeg and needs to bounce back after Tuesday.

4. Kari Lehtonen (vs. NYR) – Won six of his last seven and has a .932 SV% at home with the 27th ranked offence in town.

5. Semyon Varlamov (@ PHX) – Tough test with Phoenix 9-0-1 at home, I say Varly is up to the task.

6. Antti Niemi (vs. TB) – With Lindback opposing him, I like Niemi to get the W at home tonight.

7. Ben Scrivens (vs. NJ) – 4-0 as the starter vs. the 25th ranked offence at home, I like Scrivens again.

8. Mike Smith (vs. COL) – Tough test for Smith just as it is for Varlamov, should be a great goalie duel.

9. Cory Schneider (@ LA) – The Devils love to play defence – so Schneider’s 1.98 GAA and .918 SV% helps your categories but he won’t win very often.

10. Ray Emery (vs. BUF) – Coming off of his strongest outing of the year, against the Sabres – strong spot start option.

11. Jimmy Howard (vs. CAR) – I keep overranking Howard because I expect the Red Wings struggles at home to end…. Will tonight be the night?

12. Henrik Lundqvist (@ DAL) – Back-to-back tough-luck losses for ‘King-Henrik’ but tonight he faces the Stars who have won six out of their last seven, while outscoring opponents 25-16.

13. Jaroslav Halak (@ BOS) – Halak has an .892 SV% in his last 10 starts – he is winning but not playing great – The Bruins and Rask don’t allow that to happen.

14 . Justin Peters (@ DET) – Detroit’s horrible offence would suggest Peters would make for a good start, but the talent is there Motown – I don’t think this matchup is as juicy as it looks.

15. Ryan Miller (@ PHI) – The Flyers offence is trending in the right direction and the Sabres are basically flatlining.

16. Devan Dubnyk (vs. FLA) – Dubnyk has played well in his last four starts and if Tuesday was an indication that this offence might be waking up.

17. Marek Mazanec (@ TOR) – He did post a shutout on Tuesday, but he was not really tested. Phil Kessel is an elite scorer, this is not an ideal matchup.

18. Ondrej Pavelec (vs. CHI) – Pav was pulled the last time he faced Chicago… There’s a reason… They are REALLY good – there are better options tonight.

19. Tim Thomas (@ EDM) – When the Oilers go off for seven like they did on Tuesday… You have to be a little nervous, because the talent is definitely there.

20. Anders Lindback (@ SJ) – His .875 SV% and Brent Burns return to the Sharks lineup has me staying away from Anders tonight.
