Oilers Looking To Get Healthy

Oilers Looking To Get Healthy
Souray
630 CHED, Alberta’s Information Superstation, is reporting that Shawn Horcoff, Sheldon Souray and Robert Nilsson are expected to return to action against the Thrashers this weekend. They practiced today with no major setbacks, and could certainly use the steady presence of Souray on the back end to shore up a defence that is allowing 33.5 shots per game.

Unfortunately, the Oilers were also dealt another blow as forward Fernando Pisani was sent back to Edmonton as his problems with Colitis appeared to have returned. Even if you have the Oilers you have to feel bad for this guy; he is absolutely snake bitten. He has only played 56, 38 and 6 games over the last three seasons thanks to Colitis and a broken ankle. Here is to hoping that this is not as serious as his earlier battle with the disease that caused him to lose 40 pounds.

It was also announced that defenceman Denis Grebeskov will be out for several weeks with a torn MCL resulting from a knee-on-knee collision with Derek Roy on Wednesday. Doctors said he should be back in 4-6 week ready to hit the ice!
