Ottawa Senators trade Vladislav Namestnikov to Colorado Avalance, J-G Pageau to New York Islanders

The Ottawa Senators got off to a hot start on trade deadline day Monday making two deals before many were even awake.
They first traded forward Vladimir Namestikov to the Colorado Avalanche for a 2021 fourth-round pick before flipping J-G Pageau to the New York Islanders.
In return for Pageau, the Senators have received three draft picks — a conditional 2020 first, a 2020 second and a conditional 2022 third-round pick.
The first-round pick is top-three protected and the only way Ottawa will get the third-round pick is if the Islanders win the Stanely Cup.
Both players in the trades are set to become UFA’s at the end of the season.
Pageau has scored 24 goals and another 16 assists in 60 games this season. Namestikov, meanwhile, appeared in 54 games for the Senators this year scoring 13 goals and 12 assists.
