Ovechkin Not Helping Your Playoff Push

In a game that was so high-profile, NHL disciplinary boss Colin Campbell will have a tough case for not suspending Alexander Ovechkin for his check from behind on Brian Campbell in Sunday’s game. Ovechkin received a 2-game suspension in December for a knee-on-knee hit and if the NHL has any consistency, we should see something similar this time around.
That means that you’re likely not to have Ovechkin, the NHL scoring leader, at your services for one of the most crucial weeks in Fantasy Hockey. The Capitals are slated to play three Southeast Division rivals this week in games that surely would’ve seen Ovechkin put up some great numbers. We’ll have more information when we get it.
As comic relief, we can turn to Down Goes Brown for a possible take on Ovechkin’s suspension hearing.
