But he also joked about how long his injury will keep him out so take it for what it’s worth.  Either way he’s not going to be 100% and Washington coach Bruce Boudreau has listed Alexander Ovechkin as a game-time decision.  Make sure you check for updates prior to the game so you can adjust your lineups accordingly.  The Caps take on the Devils tonight.

From Fire & Ice:

Although Ovechkin yelled from the ice “I’m playing tonight”, he remained on the for an extended hard skate after the other Capitals came off, usually an indication that a player is not playing.

Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau said on the Capitals’ Web site that it will be “a game-time decision” whether Ovehckin makes his return tonight after missing the last five games with an upper-body strain.

“You never know,” Ovechkin said after the skate. “I didn’t talk to Bruce. He just told me to be ready.”
