Pierre-Marc Bouchard on the Mend

Pierre-Marc Bouchard on the Mend

Recent reports from the Star Tribune’s Michael Russo indicate often-injured winger Pierre Marc-Bouchard may be on the mend.  The 26-year-old received word to begin lightly practicing and rates himself about 85 percent healthy.  Bouchard suffers from post-concussion syndrome which limited him to only one game last season.

Just three years ago, the Quebec native posted 50 points and 63 points playing mostly with star winger Marian Gaborik.  Playing alongside Martin Havlat he could register similar results– the Wild probably signed the latter to do just that.  Although a long shot, Bouchard insists he would not retire and will be committed to returning.

He will certainly be an interesting name to watch for during preseason but there will likely be a safer option in your draft pool.
