Signing
The Oilers signed Eric Gryba to a two-year contract extension on Tuesday.
Gryba, 29, had two goals and four assists (six points) in 40 games for the Oilers last season and with the Edmonton blueline improving, he will likely serve as a seventh defenseman again in 2017-18.

Gryba has not appeared in the last six games, presumably because of an injury. Gryba has been placed on IR and Mark Fayne has been recalled from Bakersfield (AHL).

Gryba will be in the lineup tomorrow against the Maple Leafs as Marc Methot's new defensive partner. He is a big boy at 6'3" 214lbs. but he isn't an offensive defenceman so he isn't fantasy relevant.
