Flyers have recalled (G) Michael Leighton from Adirondack & loaned Brian Boucher to the Phantoms

Boucher was recalled on Feb. 10 by the Flyers and made four appearances in net, including one start. He went 0-2-0 with a 2.50 GAA during his recall.

Goaltender Brian Boucher has been recalled from Adirondack.

With Michael Leighton out for the next 7-10 days with an upper-body injury Boucher will be the Flyers backup. The Flyers have a back-to-back coming up on Monday and Tuesday so Boucher could very likely start one of those games.

Head coach Kirk Muller said there is a chance Brian Boucher could see conditioning in Charlotte soon as he returns from injury.

Makes sense that the elder Boucher would need some conditioning before getting back in game action. That move should keep Justin Peters on the roster for another two weeks.

Goaltender Brian Boucher, out since Dec. 6 with a lower-body injury, has been back on the ice working and is set to rejoin team practices this week. It's possible Boucher could be available during the homestand, although his status for tonight's game won't be known until the skate.

Boucher has been practicing for a few weeks now so his return should come shortly. It will be interesting to see what the club does with its three goalies.

Rutherford said Boucher likely out another couple of months. Said would not look to acquire another backup. "We'll stick with our guys."

The club re-called Justin Peters which is a good indicator that Boucher won't play for a while. You can likely find a better option than an injured, veteran backup on a struggling team.
