Milan Lucic News
Lucic (undisclosed) missed the Oilers’ morning skate but will play on Tuesday.
Lucic has started to pick it up recently, picking up two goals and five assists (seven points) in his last four games. Lucic has played very well on Connor McDavid’s wing, but not so well away from McDavid, which isn’t surprising.
The Oilers have signed Milan Lucic to a seven-year deal worth $42 million ($6.0M AAV).
Lucic, 28, spent the first nine seasons of his NHL career with the Bruins and the Kings, tallying a total of 159 goals and 238 assists (397 points) in 647 career games. He has been a reliable Fantasy asset, who has averaged around 20 goals and 30 assists per 82 games over the last eight years. He is a great source of hits and PIMS and with a new-found spot next to Connor McDavid, Lucic could be in for a huge 2016-17 fantasy season.
The Kings have acquired Milan Lucic from the Bruins for Martin Jones, Colin Miller and the 13th overall pick.
Lucic, 27, had one of the worst seasons of his NHL career last year. The 6-foot-3, 228 lbs. hard-nosed forward had just 44 points (18G / 26A) in 81 games after averaging 60.6 points per season in his previous three full seasons. A change of scenery might do Lucic some good and he should fit in perfectly with the Kings.
