Injury
Ferland (lower-body) will draw back into the Flames lineup on Thursday.
Ferland missed last Saturday’s game in Vancouver but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. Carolina. Ferland has already lost his top-line spot next two Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau and with that he lost most of his fantasy value. He has just one goal on 12 shots in five games this season.

Ferland, who missed Saturday’s game in Vancouver, also missed today’s practice. Glen Gulutzan said that he hopes Ferland can be back on the ice tomorrow, but his status for Thursday’s game vs. the Hurricanes is in question.

Ferland has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury, but skated on the fourth line in the morning skate and called himself a game-time decision for tonight’s game. All signs are pointing towards him returning, so expect the rugged winger to play. He has 11 points (5G / 6A) in 44 games this season.

Ferland left Wednesday’s game vs. the Sharks and did not return. The injury will keep him out of the lineup tonight, but luckily for the Flames, Troy Brouwer (finger) will get back into the lineup tonight.

Ferland suffered the injury in Friday's OT win over the Red Wings. He will miss at least a couple of weeks with a sprained knees. Derek Grant was recalled from Stockton (AHL) and he is expected to replace Ferland on Sunday.

The Flames have signed Micheal Ferland to a two-year deal worth $1.65 million ($825K AAV).
Ferland, 23, had just five points (2G / 3A) in 26 games with the Flames last regular season, but played very well in the postseason racking up three goals and two assists in just nine games. His one-way deal paves the way for Ferland to make the 2015-16 opening day roster.

Ferland was held out of Game 2, but he took part in the morning skate today and said “I feel good, but it's going to be a coach's decision." Signs are pointing towards the rookie playing tonight, but he is officially listed as a game-time decision. Expect David Wolf to come out of the lineup if Ferland plays.
