Wedgewood will start on Tuesday in San Jose.

Riding a four-game winning streak, the Stars will turn to Wedgewood between the pipes for the first time since March 16th. Wedgewood has been excellent in limited action lately, posting a .937 SV% across his last three appearances (2-0-0). The Stars enter action as enormous -412 road favourites against the San Jose Sharks. Wedgewood will likely see a consistent workload down the stretch to keep Jake Oettinger fresh as the team prepares for the playoffs.

Wedgewood (personal) will be away from the team on Wednesday due to the birth of his child.

Dallas has recalled Matt Murray from the Texas Stars (AHL) to backup Jake Oettinger in the interim. Wedgewood was excellent in his last outing, saving 27 of 28 shots (.964 SV%) in a 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings and will likely return to the team on Friday for their contest against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Wedgewood will start on Monday vs. the Islanders.

On the front end of a back-to-back, the Stars will turn to Wedgweood between the pipes. Wedgewood has not recorded a victory in over a month but has played well in losing efforts lately, including saving 18 of 19 shots entering a 4-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators last week in relief of Jake Oettinger. Wedgewood and the Stars were defeated 3-2 in overtime against the New York Islanders last month, but they enter action as -158 home favourites on Monday night.

Wedgewood will start on Tuesday vs. Dallas.

On the back end of a back-to-back, the Stars will rely on Wedgewood between the pipes, his first start since February 7th. Wedgewood has been serviceable but unspectacular between the pipes this season, posting a 3.03 GAA and .897 SV% in 24 games (13-5-4). That said, he manned the crease against the New York Rangers earlier this season and saved 30 of 33 shots (.909 SV%) in a 6-3 victory. The Stars enter action as +116 road underdogs against the Rangers.

Wedgewood will start on Wednesday vs. Toronto.

Wedgewood takes the crease for the first time in five games as he will give Jake Oettinger a rest on the second half of a back-to-back Wednesday. The 31-year-old backup has won this season despite his mediocre counting stats with his 13-4-4 record, 2.98 GAA and .899 SV%. He heads back to his hometown to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs, who have lost six of their last ten games but are ninth in the NHL in goals per game (3.42).

Wedgewood will start Sunday vs. New York.

Wedgewood started Saturday and won after stopping 29 of 31 shots against (.935 SV%) and will surprisingly retake the Stars' crease Sunday for a second straight start. Tonight he will take on an Islanders team that has lost four in a row and eight of their last 10, but have a new head coach, after hiring Patrick Roy on Saturday.

Wedgewood will start Wednesday vs. Minnesota.

Wedgewood received the night off on Monday after starting 11 consecutive games and watched Matt Murray record a shutout in a 4-0 victory over the Minnesota Wild in his fourth career NHL game. The Stars hope the rest helped Wedgewood reset as he was beginning to falter between the pipes, allowing four or more goals in four of his last five games (2-2-1), posting an abysmal .858 SV% after posting a more respectable .906 SV% in his previous six games (4-1-1). The Stars have a rematch against the Wild on Wednesday and are -186 home favourites.

Wedgewood will start against the Avalanche on Thursday.

Wedgewood will get the nod in goal for the Stars for the eighth consecutive game on Thursday. Wedgewood has started every game since Jake Oettinger went down with a lower-body injury on December 15th, and the Stars couldn't have asked for anything more from their backup netminder. Despite a a couple of rocky appearances, Wedgewood has been solid enough to deliver a 5-2-1 record in Oettinger's absence, and appears to have the full confidence of head coach Peter DeBoer as the interim starting goalie. He'll have his hands full on Thursday as the Stars welcome the Avalanche to town.

Scott Wedgewood will start Tuesday vs. Montreal.

Wedgewood will remain between the pipes for the ninth straight game for the Stars since Jake Oettinger suffered a lower-body injury on December 15th. Wedgewood has been unspectacular in the crease but has given his team a chance to win each night, allowing three goals or fewer in six of his last eight games (6-1-1), posting a serviceable .906 SV%. The Stars are significant -280 home favourites against the Montreal Canadiens, who have lost three straight games and four of their last five (1-3-1).
